YANKS: You Can't Make This Stuff Up

Peter Abraham's reported from Yankee Spring Training camp today,

Carl Pavano has been injured again. The Rajah of Rehab was throwing batting practice when Alberto Gonzalez lined a ball off the bottom of his left cleat. But Pavano shook it off and finished his session, throwing 25 more pitches. Pavano does not use a screen when he throws BP. Ironically, he had hit Gonzalez with a pitch during BP on Thursday. Pavano said it was a little stiff and could miss some drills tomorrow but he expected to pitch as scheduled on Tuesday.
Everything was going so smoothly too. Lets hope this doesn't compound into full lower-body paralyzation.

I asked Pete for an immediate crowd reaction which, if he responds, should be priceless.
