METS: Newhan Schmuhan

Mets signed David Newhan, previously with the Orioles, to a 1-year contract. RotoWorld compares him to Chris Woodward, only he is left-handed and a worse infield fielder. "He's an adequate 25th man, but that's about it."

The Mets haven't had much off-season action thus far but after losing out on the Zito sweepstakes they are inclined to pick up a middle-of-the-rotation guy in due time.
